All Series, All Summer Challenge

Hosted by Amanda from On a Book Bender and Kelly from Reading the Paranormal, All Series All Summer is a low-pressure challenge to finally get through all those series you've neglected. There are no goals other than the ones you set yourself, and no obligations like check-ins. For the Twitter-happy (guilty) there is a hashtag to converse with other challenge participants, #SeriesSummer.

I have a serious case of series neglecting, guys.

My main goal is to at least make a big chunk in my unread series, and I got a lot of those. I'm way too lazy to list them all, so I'm just going with the ones I think I'll be able to read. If I can get through more than half of these I'll probably be extremely happy already!

Bout of Books 3.0 Readathon: TBR Pile Picture and Search Challenge

Today is the first day in the third Bout of Books readathon! Today's co-host is Hannah over at Once Upon A Time. Her challenge is to share our TBR pile, be that with a picture or a list, and then visit all the other people's posts. I don't know about you, but I'm in! I'll also use this post to update my progress in for today.

There it is! It's just a small part of my complete TBR pile, but I thought I'd show you what's on my list next. The two books on the left are books that I started aaaages ago and still have to finish. The one in the middle are those that I plan on finishing (at least a part of them) during the readathon. And the ones on the right are books I just really, really want to read (I mean, Shadowfever?!).

Monday Update
Number of pages I’ve read today: 149
Total number of pages I’ve read: 149
Total number of books read: 0,5
Books started/continued with/finished today: Burnt Offerings by Laurell K. Hamilton
Today #insixwords: Off with a pretty slow start

2012 Reading Challenge: TBR Pile

In the upcoming year I will be participating in the TBR Pile Reading Challenge! I have tons and tons of books on my shelves that need to be read, but I never seem to be coming to because of all the review copies. Plus there are prizes to win and mini-challenges to participate in! It sounds very awesome.

I will go for A Friendly Hug (11-20 books). This because I like hugs, and don't want to aim too high. Better to find out I do better than expected!

Here are a few books that I want to read:
  • The Stand by Stephen King
  • Cell by Stephen King
  • Lisey's Story by Stephen King
  • The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind (yes, that's 11 books with over 600 pages each)
  • The Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice
  • The Hitchhiker's Galaxy series by Douglas Adams
It seems like I've been especially neglected my long fantasy books! It will be interesting to see how far I can come.
