The magic book fairy pops out of your cereal box and says "You and your favourite character (from a book of course) can switch places!" Who are you going to switch with?

Eek, I hate these hard questions! I guess I would probably want to switch with Rachel Morgan of the Hollows series (by Kim Harrison). It's a contemporary setting where paranormals are out of the "closet". I don't think I could live in a historical romance, without any electricity!

Sad, but no. I do constantly bother some people with what I'm reading right now, or that book that's totally awesome. But I don't know anyone that both reads as much as I do, and reads the same kind of books. That's why I'm so thankful for the internet!

Do you judge a book by its cover?

Oh yes. Definitely. Usually the cover is the first thing about a book that appeals to me. If the cover is ugly or if it doesn't stand out, I'm not that inclined to pick it up. I never let the cover influence my opinion on the book itself though.

1. I can't concentrate on only one book. I have to read at least 3 at a time.
2. Sometimes I read the last page of the book. Luckily, by the time I'm at the end I've forgotten what was on it, so it's still a surprise.
3. I can't stand to hurt a book. If it folds one of its little pages I apologize and ask for forgiveness.
4. Yet still it always seems like a good idea to eat soup while reading. It's really not.
5. I have about 60 unread books. And keep buying.

Who are You the Boy/Girl, instead of You the Blogger?

Wait, is there someone else than me the Blogger? I'm a book addict, gaming girl, maybe a tiny bit lazy and slightly too stubborn. I'm interested in about everything, from quantum-mechanics to fashion, as long as it has nothing to do with sports (okay maybe I'm a bit more lazy than I want to admit). I always have tons and tons of projects to keep occupied, and maybe one day I'll be a published writer. Who knows.

If you are a fan of Science Fiction what is your favorite book? If you haven't read Science Fiction before...any inkling to? Anything catch your eye?

You know that feeling when someone asks you a question you weren't expecting and you just can't think of an appropriate answer? That's exactly how I feel now. I like science fiction, and I have read enough SF books that I absolutely love, but I can't seem to think of one.

Books that I still want to read though, I've got enough of those. Especially the Otherland series by Tad Williams (starting with City of Golden Shadow) is high on my list. I'm not sure if you can categorise The Stand by Stephen King as science-fiction, but I desperately want to read it nevertheless (:

What is your favourite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you like the strong silent type or the brute macho man?

That's a hard one. It depends on how he matches with the heroine. Overall I like a more introvert hero better, big egos are a big turn-off for me.

What is/was your favourite subject in school?

Saying I like the breaks most doesn't count right? I think I like physics best then. Not really because of all the calculating, but learning how the world works, why we don't all just fall apart. And I like to play with electricity and little wires and cables, I admit it.

I guess books don't count right? We have a very fat guinea pig at home called Fuzzy. He is terribly overweight because we feed him way too much, but he is one happy rodent (: He looks a bit like this, only three times as big.

There are so many books I have never heard about that have been added to my to be read list. The book that I enjoyed most I discovered is Rampant by Diana Peterfreund. It surprised me in the most positive way possible. It was AWESOME.

Weekly Question:
What are your plans for this fabulous day?

Nothing special actually. It's a tradition that we go to my grandma every year, but since she is hospitalised with a broken shoulder, and we are snowed in, that is impossible this year. We'll probably just have a fancy dinner with our family at home, and tomorrow morning we'll exchange gifts.

This will probably be my last post for this year, I'm taking a week off from blogging. This has been a wonderful year, and I hope to see you back in 2011!

What did you study in college, or are currently studying and did it lead to your current 9 to 5 or are you doing something totally different?

I'm currently doing a course in psychology at an open university here in the Netherlands, but thinking about studying something like engineering or something else technical. Although English literature is also a great option. I'm feeling a bit indecisive, hehe.
